Hello! I have just recently installed the latest version of Python (2.5.1) and restarted my pc. When I restarted I get: "Error loading operating system". Then I restarted again and reset my BIOS. I get the same OS error. Please Help!

Can you get as far as the screen that offers you Restart in Safe Mode etc (can you walk the gangplank?)

That black screen says to me that the only way to fix is to reinstall Windows. I have been faced with this many times, and found I can't do much more than reinstall.

Reinstall is not that bad. Your stuff is still on the disk. Its just a hassle moving it

Woops just saw where this thread was disregard my last post.

I had a similar error with Vista. I had another partition and installed Vista on it again and my computer booted up ok. Im not sure if this will work for XP but worth a try
