(Solved) - Lost program

Before my recent (2013JAN24) OS reload I had a very good string search program. Oldtimer's disease ... can't remember what the site was!

Can anyone suggest what it might have been???

Am looking for a program that will search/find a string somewhere (any drive) on my system. Very good is defined as it worked well for me ... I could enter, for example, "dfkjeodhn" and it would return all locations that included that string.

Not looking for stuff on the on the internet.

I guess "very good" is in the mind of the beholder, in this case me!

@LH I use "Everything" regularly. It is "very good" at finding files but I am looking to search for strings of text.

@doctordeere It looks like the Copernic also return files.

BTW Isn't Copernic the QB for the 49ers? hee hee

"Agent Ransack" is the last one I'm familiar with that will search for text within files.
