I have lost/forgotten the password that I need when I go into settings and adjust the maximum volume limit. There is an option (under settings I think) that allows changing the settings back to the default. I am afraid to use this because I read somewhere that it would wipe out a lot of stuff I have on my Ipod. Is this true or there another way to reset the password?

Hi. Create a backup of your iPod first, and then reset the settings (by the procedure you already know). If something goes wrong, you've got the backup !

Before that, try this (if you're on a windows computer)
