loading xp onto a vista machine problem

HELP!!!!! I started going through the steps to install XP on my pre-installed vista computer and after installing XP it rebooted and all I have is a black screen with a flashing cursor in the top left corner. What do I do now!!??!?!?!

HP provides NO XP Device Drivers for the machine.

Choices:
1. Read Documentation and RESTORE machine back to factory condition.
2. Call HP and DEMAND ALL XP Machine Device Drivers.
Post back as to results.

peapen, hello. I assume that you were following these instructions, is that right? Try moving on to the next step of running VistaBootPro to see if it can locate the XP or Vista partitions. If it only finds Vista, you can at least get the system booting again and try to install XP later.
