Loading Win7 onto custom built computer

What's up guys.

I'm a college student, and I visited Win741.com to purchase Win7 at a discounted price using my college email.

Now, I downloaded the .exe update file and ordered the back up discs.

I want to instal Win7 on a new computer I'm building, but I'm worried that the discs are only an "update" and not the actual operating system itself. In other words, will I be able to load the OS onto the new harddrive with the discs?

And can I use the .exe file on a flash drive, or a burned to a disc to install the OS, or do I have to wait for the back up discs? Or do I have to go and buy the actual OS, even though I have a valid product key??
