Many people have asked how to do Video Capture and Video Download so I decided to compile a list of every program and method I have either tried or saw recommended:
Screen Recorders (ok programs):
WM Recorder - Windows
CamStudio - Windows

General Download Managers with Flash Video download:
Orbit Downloader
Free Download Manager

Flash Video Downloaders (Have not tested):
WM Recorder - Windows
NirSoft WebVideoCap - Windows
youtube.dl - Windows, Linux, OS X, requires perl
clive - unix-like systems

Browser Add-ons that can download Flash Video (Tested some but not all):
For Internet Explorer: IE7Pro
For Firefox: Video Download 2.0, Video DownloadHelper

Copy from Cache (tested):
How-To Geek Article: Saving Flash Videos In Linux
NirSoft VideoCacheView - Windows

Web Sites that let you download Flash Videos (Most Operating Systems):
javimoya
vixy
KeepVid

Great idea by JD to compile a list of these. I have been testing some solutions as well. Here are my additions:

Internet Download Manager - Windows only and not freeware, but this is the best video grabber I have experienced. When there are multiple videos sizes and formats available, it will show you a list to choose from. It will find and let you download the high quality MP4 in HD or widescreen HD that are far better than the FLV. No need to copy and paste the URL, because it integrates with the browser.

YouTube Download HQ Videos - a Firefox add-on with a clumsy name, but good features. It adds the options "download as MP4" and "Download as 720p HD MP4" to the web page when they are available. Also available at the same link is an add-on that will make FF always display the highest quality video at YouTube.

Download YouTube MP4 Bookmarklet - works in IE, FF, and perhaps other browsers as well this bookmarklet will find the MP4 video, if available. A bookmarklet is a bookmark that runs a little script, but is accessed just like any other bookmark. Not very elegant, but it does the job.

@ScottW: Those sound like good additions to this list too.

@jack7h3r1pp3r: That is interesting. I just assumed "This guest article was written by Nate from The Geeky Life blog" meant some random person I had not heard of wrote it.
I did not made the connection of you being that person at all.
But regardless of that it's a good article and worthy of being included in this list.
