I know Linux Mint is based of Ubuntu Gusty Gibbon, but what exactly does Linux Mint change/add?

They are trying to make a more user-friendly version of Ubuntu, with automatically included codecs and other things that aren't automatically installed in Ubuntu.

They've changed the desktop and menus as well... more information here:
