Hi there,

Which would flavor of Linux would you smart geekers recommend, which is a bit user friendly?

Some time back tried Ubuntu 8.10 ............

Linux Mint would probably be your best bet. It's very user friendly.

Agree with Superevil, Mint is your best bet out-of-the-box but Ubuntu does have a more frequented forum for problems you may have.

Morning Mike.
I downloaded the Ultimate version which is fully loaded and saved time updating packages for my tower. The cost was only €10 donation (£8.90).
Have not tried it dual boot with XP but it was fine with win 7 on my laptop which is the 'core' version.
The only difference is the amount software already bundled.
I do like it, effortless and has a very 'windows' feel.

Mike Zorin ultimate is awesome.

I wanna replace XP with it, only 1 OS.....how should I create partitions, sizes, etc........size of HDD is 320 GB.....forgot little Linux I new......sdas etc kindly suggest?
