Helping a friend with a problem. He is operating his MAC wireless from a Comcast router. He would like to run a Windows XP laptop wireless from this same router using an AE2500 wireless point. Does this set up present a conflict. Then AE2500 has been working great elsewhere, but when using the setup above the internet will come up, but will then after a bit will cause the laptop to go to a blank screen. Help.

It shouldn't? Make sure the lastest AE2500 drivers are on XP (http://homesupport.cisco.com/e.....ers/AE2500).

I'm using that on a W8 machine and do not have a problem.

Sounds like a h/w issue though, total black screen? I'd look in the event viewer and see if there was any errors at the time the screen went black.

Thanks ispalten

I thought maybe some wireless router security settings might be different for the Apple computer, and was causing the wireless connection problem with the Windows XP computer and AE 2500. The initial connection was quick, but he would lose it when he tried to change web pages.

I'll check the drivers at the link above and go from there.
