Lighthouse, you have made some posts recently that make no since to me.
Can you explain the following:
Lets hail our benifactor Scott post 3 - It sounds like you are insulting someone but I know you wouldn't do that so I think I must be missing something.
I Love this new forum - No idea.
To disable new partition post "Uummmmm...." - No idea.
How-To Geek Forums / Off Topic
@Lighthouse, can you explain what some of your posts mean?
(42 posts)Ok, that works. I mainly wanted to know about the 3rd one anyway without making the other topic go off topic.
How is that impolite? Many people post links to articles on other sites. Just because it's my site doesn't change anything. The article should still answer the question assuming a dual boot setup. Now that I read it again, it appears that wasn't entirely clear from the original poster though.
Also no I couldn't really post it on HTG. The forums don't support the proper markup for an article and the main site isn't set up to accept articles from other users.
To be fair to jd, he did ask me before posting any links to his site, and I told him that it was fine. I figure that he's been a big help around here, and if he can help somebody by posting a relevant link to his site, then the real goal is reached, as the user has been helped.
I'm working on getting the system setup so that jd and others can help post user-submitted content... then we can post links to HTG.
I'm new here, so I'm glad it's not just me. About a third of what Lighthouse posts goes over my head. Not over, really, more to the side. I just figured he was off his meds when he made those posts. As Monsieur Le Geek says, he writes in a way we don't understand. I would add that the voices in his head understand it perfectly. He also sometimes writes in French (I think) without translating which I see as another way for him to be cryptic.
But, I kid about Lighthouse. We banter back and forth. N'est-ce pas, Peter?
lets just speak in ebonics ;)
