I have Ubuntu 12.10 and I am trying to find an alternative to LibreOffice Writer.I have tried AbiWord and it doesn't do what I want.

The main feature that I need is outline numbering. In Office, it works like this:

All of the Word type programs I have found so far for Linux don't have it setup that way and I REALLY need it that way.

Any suggestions?

EDIT: I tried Calligra Words too and it formatted the outline like this, the same as AbiWord:

I couldn't get the Linux files to install. I think I'm just gonna go back to Windows 7. I won't have time to mess with things. I have a few school projects that will interfere with my tinkering.

Thanks for the link though.

Ya, better to let us old folks "Tinker" and the younger generation concentrate on education. :) :)

Yes this is true. I'm gonna attempt a dual boot so that I have Windows when I need it and Ubuntu to "tinker" with. That way I will have the best of both worlds :)

Windows is at "Expanding Windows Files (30%)" and rapidly increasing in percentage.
