Has handbrake updated their software since you published this workaround?

Just worked for me. I have the latest Handbrake, installed XBMC, played a little of the movie, copied the file, renamed it, and pasted it. Working like a charm. I came to this forum to thank the wonderful person who left the instructions. Just got a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1, and am looking to fill my 64G SD card up before going on vacation. So, thank you, thank you, thank you.

Really? I just tried to rip monster house and I get the same error, exactly the same error as before. So it only works on certain DVD's I assume?

Is there alternative software, other than handbrake that is safe to use, but actually does the job?
