Does anyone know how to turn the Lenovo Wireless on and keep it on.

Yes it has switch at the front and yes its turned on, but if for some reason the router goes off, the Lenovo wireless (presuming its not needed) turns itself off and stays off even if the router comes back on line again. You then have to hit a Fn+F5 to turn the wireless on again ! Its crazy.

How do I get rid of the infernal software switch and keep it on all the time. Of course IBM Support have no idea on this.

See whether you can find something in here. It may be a Vista setting problem.

Thanks for that info, but unfortunately it has not done the trick. I have checked that:

1) Allow computer to turn off this device to save power is UNTICKED
2) I changed the Power Saving mode to NOISEY which says it keeps the wireless on permanently, but if the router is powered off the damn wireless turns off but is unable to turn back on again.

Thanks again. I will take this up with Intel (ha ha )
