left button of touchpad not working

Hey guys!

So, every now and then, the left button of my laptop doesnt work. I mean, doesnt matter if i click on the button or on the touchpad, it just doesnt work. But the right button works perfectly fine.

Know what it might be?
And yes, the button is ok. Cuz even if i try to click using the touchpad, it doesnt work.

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the touchpad?

Hmmm no.
Where can i find the drivers?
Its a Sony Vaio pcg 71811M.

The model does not appear to be listed in Sony us and uk sites. Anyway, what is the device present in the Device Manager > Mice and other pointing device?

You could try reversing the buttons in the Control Panel -> Mouse and see if the Left click will work as the right button.
