What is interesting is that Microsoft MSE and Norton are the top winners.

Anybody is entitled to there own opinion. What you are looking at here is the result of professional tests. I am sure they are trying to be as objective as possible. But it never hurts to compare with tests from other sources - and I mean tests, not opinions.

i've notice eset taking forever to run scans lately and slowing the computer down while scanning. even detected a few false positives in programs i've always ran. av comparatives are correct in dropping it to only an advanced rating.
i agree whs, opinions mean nothing

I was not giving an opinion, just noting what they said.
Me now. Even if you tested every A/V program, against every known virus, it would not prove anything.
It is who is quickest at killing that killer virus that is released tomorrow.

LH, my "opinion" comment was not directed towards your statements since you only referred to the document. I hope there was no misunderstanding.

Oz, I agree with you. They seem to think because it is free that it is also good. As an individual, it is anyhow very difficult to judge whether the security program one has installed is good, bad or indifferent. Depending on your browsing habits, you may just be lucky.
