Laptop CDROM not reading Disks

Hi, I have a Acer aspire 3690 using XP HOME.

The machine is about 18 months old.

The CDROM is not reading any disks.

Any help with this would be great.

Did you check the drivers? Did it work before? After what event did it stop working

Dont know how to check the drivers,

Yep it did work before, as recent as last nite, yet this morning it decided it wasnt playing.
