HP Pavilion dv4 1120us - 64-bit - entertainment notebook--no sound--Have been through all the audio settings, but the only problem I can find is the mute button behind the keyboard stays orange--I am assuming it is muted but it will not change--now what???

NWNana hi, right click in the speaker icon in the task-bar and click on it tha red circle with the line going through it shold clear :)

I had the same problem. There is a easy fix. Go to the HP website, they will fix it while you are online. They work wonders. When you restart, the mute light will still come on for a few seconds each time but their fix will take over and you will have sound again.

Also check your external keyboard. If it has a separate key for the speakers, press it.
