When using Windows Vista. My specs:

1GB RAM (DDR)
ATI Radeon XPress 200M 128MB Shared Graphics
AMD Mobile Sempron 3000+

The thing runs fast enough. Any ideas?

Hey Mikey,

You can download MotherboardMonitor and regulate speeds, watch temps, carefully ;)

Maybe it's because it's running too fast XD

When I play games on my laptop, my fan kicks in high gear after a bit. Check to see if anything is chewing up CPU.

Scott:

Thanks. Temperatures are normal.

Taybay:

I do not play games. When I start Vista from a cold boot (when the laptop is stone cold) and leave it for a few hours at the Desktop, doing nothing the fan is very loud.

Indeed. I have used compressed air, cleaned it out, thermal paste, laptop cooler, etc.
