Kernel32.dll error

I was trying to install Office 2007 on a computer running Windows ME and I got an error telling me that KERNEL32.DLL was missing. A friend of mine told me to download and run a program called REGISTRY EASY to fix this problem. I did as he suggested. Registry Easy installed and I ran the scan and them fix options. It said it repaired 25 problem with the registry but when I tried again to install Office 2007 I got the same error. Can anyone help?

The first thing I would do is uninstall Registry Easy. This is a dodgy bit of kit for sure.

Have you any previous versions of Office on your system?

Edit, I seem to have had this before, ME may not support 2007
