i saw an article that windows7 burns iso files. how? i have a dvd movie ready but i don't see "create an iso" anywhere. none of the iso programs i have will work yet

Have not actually tried it but...

Right click on the ISO file
Open with
Windows Disc Image Burner

Let me know if it works for you

every time i tried to post any thing the last day or so it wouldn't appear, it's seems to be working ok now...

i tried to post that the iso files where coming out as 4.7gb but my converter was also compressing dvd movies to the same size. so an iso movie seems irrelevant. is there a way to convert dvd movies to something smaller with decent playback?

Oh, and I thought you were trying to burn the Windows7 ISO. What filetype are your video files - RAW? You can probably slim them down using .mp4, .wmv or .flv.I think the quality is more a question of the converter program than the filetype. I have made conversions of the same files with different programs and got very different results. But ScottW probably knows best. I am just a video amateur. LOL

PS: I got the best conversion results with Free Video Converter from Extensoft (sorry can't post the link. My W7 in my virtual partition which I am using right now is still a little "underequipped") But this converter you have to populate with codecs. I use the full K-Lite (but please don't tell ScottW. He will kill me - LOL).

Bartman, thanks for the help. Just got myself a second browser for W7 so that I can do parallel research without loosing my typed post. Tried to Copy/paste from the host, but that does not work.
