i keep my laptop turned on for the whole night for downloading purposes. thus, i keep it in front of a.c. to keep it cool. is it safe for processor??

A bit on the warm side, but you may save a bit of fan ware. Do not keep it directly in front of the A/C, give it a few feet. So it gets the airflow, but is not blasted.
