A service "InCDsrv.exe" from Nero InCD software in the program files folder always starts up with Windows. It's not in the startup folder, nor is it in the registry startup entries (in the hives current user, all users, and local machine). It also doesn't show up in any of the startup customization programs (for example, the Windows' built-in msconfig and Tune-up Utilities' Startup Manager). I have two questions:

0. Where can this startup entry possibly be hidden?

1. If I rename or move it until I use InCD, will this have some adverse effect on the application? I don't see the advantage of loading this application automatically every time with Windows when I'm using it less than thrice a year.

Thanks for the replies...

Oh my! That li'l utility in the Sysinternals suite is simply as awesome as LH's reply. So many startup processes and so many places for them to hide! (Kidding.) No wonder MS bought the suite. I tried Sysinternals back when it was an independent entity. The suite was awesome even at that time. But the GUI is not polished enough even now. The Help file contains typos. Well... Not expected now that it's a part of MS.

BTW, I found InCDsrv under the hive local machine's subkey "System/CurrentControlSet/Services/", what a secret place!

Thanks LH :-)
