This might sound silly, One of my friend said Windows 8 has both Internet Explorer and Firefox inbuilt, I am curious to know, is it true ??????

Nope. Internet Explorer is definitely built-in, but Firefox isn't (why would they do so!).

As far as I can see on an 8 pro setup yesterday, no.
We used IE to get FF.
It certainly is not built in to 8.

I think what your friend is referring to, is that in Europe, Windows installations must offer a choice of the top browsers. IE is included, but if you choose one of the others, then it gets downloaded.

Just to clarify, IE will still be installed on your system, but if you choose another browser, it also will be installed, and set as default.

Note that there are two versions of the IE in Windows8 - IE10 that looks like what we are used to. But when you click on the tile on the start page, you get the IE designed for touchpads which is quite different but interesting.
