Hi owen123. May be I can help. But I need a bit more clarification. Aren't you getting wifi signals or you can't enable your wifi on iPod. Can you post a screenshot?

P.S. - Press home button and lock button simultaneously for a screenshot from your iPod.

Have you tried restoring it?

Also, what "generation" is it? I think they have always had wifi, but it could be it just is not wifi enabled!

I have tried all suggestions and none worked.

I did hear somewhere that the wire that connects wifi thing to the ipod is held with pressure and breaks if you drop it too much

It can also be caused by the device getting wet.

As far as I know, if the WiFi setting is greyed out - it is certainly a hardware problem or the WiFi drivers is not loaded correctly on the iPod. In both cases, you should go see an Apple Genius.
