Ok, I have an itouch that is in passcode and neither of the buttons on the unit work, plus it is not seen on "my computer"" or itunes. The itouch is a 1st gen. Nothing on the web help since the buttons are now working.
Also can anyone show me in a picture, how the home button is set up in the 1 gen. itouch. I ask because someone else put in a new digitizer and the home button just sits there. It acts like there is a spring missing, so it would click. Mine is just the button, sitting on the metal disk on the board. There must be more! I know about a paper disc, but how does that make in click back up?
So show me in a picture will ya. Then i can tell what is missing. Once I can see it on my windows computer I can reset the dang thing. Thanks.
