Hi,
I only got a ipad 1, I don't have wireless network at Los Angels where I only intend to stay for only 1 months in a friend's place, how can I get internet accesss use my ipad.

Call 1-800-MY-APPLE to talk with a knowledgeable Specialist.

You're staying at a friend's place. How does your friend connect to the 'net?

@ Rick: He needs to use internet ON the iPad, and not FROM it :)

You have a couple of options here:
- Use WiFi (if there's any)
- Use 3G (if you have a Wifi+3G model)
- If your friend has wired internet, create an ad-hoc network
- Get a MiFi dongle

Admittedly I don't know anything about Apple Products except they are expensive and are very propitiatory.

I guessed "Tether" because I'd seen that answer before on HTG from you guys.

That's why I said "so better someone more knowledgeable than me will answer your question."

You could tether, a smartphone to it, if it was included in your contract.
