Internet Providers Admit to Monitoring Customers' Web Surfing(11 posts)
And the Government - or some of them anyway - is getting upset? I thought they (or the FBI at least) were trying to get this info collected. Perhaps they're upset that it's getting used for advert tailoring not real snooping....
Strike back at the ad-tailors - block their cookies. You may get ads for sheep dip and cheese-making kits instead of for Porsches and sexy chatlines, but hey, are you really going to buy a Porsche off the internet, and you do know that that sexy blonde is really a 55 year old brunette with six grandchildren, don't you?
anyone know of any free proxies? lol haha... good to know that i'm not on that list...yet anyway
edit: would a proxy even stop them from being able to monitor what you are doing anyway? because i thought it was more for people that are on the outside?
No one can hide anymore so why waste time even trying ??
You can't get around that static IP address provided by your ISP.
If you roam on other networks, your built in MAC number will give you away eventually.
Your cell phone location can even be fetched when the phone is turned off.
A satellite can pick you out of a crowd of thousands.
A virus got into the space station computer system.
"Hacking" will get you an ocean front view suite at gitmo forever.
My best recommendation is to be law abiding citizens and use your communications wisely.
