There are applications that claim it will increase the browsing speed. These applications depends on the type of Internet connection you have.

ok heres more details i play an online game that has this thing called ping (it tells you how far u r from the
server) the lower the less u lag(slow gameplay and such) the higher your ping the more u lag and my ping is lik 99 out of 500 that being said i should hav any problems but this isnt the case i lag like crazy and i have
high speed internet.!?.....

What type of internet connection do you have? DSL, Cable, Fiber, Satellite, etc.

if you're playing an mmorpg, the number of players connected to a server is also a factor. try playing on servers that have smaller amounts of players.

I have a few neighbors with RoadRunner and I observed that this a lot slower than my ATT DSL. I sometimes help them out with PC problems. You should test your line speed. Try this or ask Roadrunner for their tool:
