I'd like to create a Windows 8 bootable USB drive, so that I could 'boot my own' Windows 8 from any computer.
I'm not talking about making a USB drive that will be used to install Windows. I want to BOOT from the drive and have it load Windows.

Is this possible?

Thank you.

--edit: I have Windows 8 Pro. Windows To Go is only available with Enterprise edition.

The only way I know (unless you have an Enterprise edition) is like this.

Nice. Haven't thought of a VM for this.

Rick, those links are not for running the system but for installing the system from USB. But the OP wanted to run the system and carry it to different PCs.
