is it safe to install a desktop firewall of another brand with a norton firewall already in place? I am running a norton firewall and antivirus with another brand anti virus software right now and it doesn't seem to be a problem but was wondering if two firewalls would be conflicting. thank you.

Well, it is never recommended, as two firewalls will normally conflict. If you want my opinion - Norton is real bad, so get something else.

ditto that, I currently have Norton and am about ready to pull my hair out with all their rediculous alerts and constant promptings. Ive tried going in a minimizing the alerts several times but can't get rid of them. Im going to go with webroots firewall in a couple of weeks after nortons subscription runs out.
