i7 running hot

My i7 2600 is getting to 75C when the load on the cpu sits on about 85% I'm pretty sure that's to hot. Does anyone know about this, thinking I might need some new thermal paste and some extra case fans..

Look at OP Profile and OP is also a Builder.

NO Builder posts such a trivial question as OP ask on a forum. :)

Probably so and I was a bit too harsh for sure. :(

May be new Site Discourse Software Change will give us Builders our own special area where we can hash out issues which may not be of interest to others. That would be a nice change. :)

Don't be so hard on yourself. He posted earlier and asked about Youtube posts he was making. Don't know his age just seems like a wannabe. Already have the build a PC here but anyone can reply.

@Rick, more of a repairer than a builder. Didn't get to use all the knowledge gained at PIA. but, Twenty some years later the cars are more complicated than the aircraft we worked on at the time.

On second thought, lots of the information I paid for in school is still relevant.
