for christmas i got a $25 gift card to i tunes ! sinc then i have downloaded a few songs .......my question is is it possible to burn them to a disc. they come as a mp4a file so windows media player wont work & i dont see a "burn to disk " in i tunes app

Put them into an iTunes playlist, then right click the playlist (in the left pane) and select burn to disc. To remove the copy right protection you will have to burn them, re import them and then they should be what ever your import format is (normally ACC)
