I try all your comments to install win xp on Visata laptop

I think the nilte process didnt display "storage device textmode control" window to select the drivers. it just jumps this step and go tp the "cerat image" screen

As I listed before, this would be a bad idea.

On the drivers what site did they come from? Like hp.com, intel.com, nvidia.com, etc.

i have downloded all the drivers for my laptop(equium l40)
of win xp
from toshiba europe.com

I just looked on toshiba europe. Did you download the Chipset Utility option or something else?

I'm not sure what to say now. It seems like integrating the Chipset Utility driver would have worked.

Hold on. jd1066 is good !!

Let me download your spec sheet for your computer model.

Toshiba's can be a real problem as they use some components that are hard to get drivers for.

Please keep an eye on this thread.

by the way i have downloaded all the drivers of my laptop which will serve for windows xp.
the only thing i cant do is making my laptop dual boot(installing win xp).
i tried all the comments on this forum
