I just built a new rig with the following parts:
asus maximus iv extreme motherboard
nvidia geforce gtx 560 ti graphics card
4x 4gb DDR3 RAM
(need any other parts?)

And I booted it, installed windows 7, but when i try even the simplest of tasks, like opening a web browser or game, the graphics card shuts off and the whole computer resets about 10-15 seconds later. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt, and when I've tried to download drivers for it, my computer just restarts and I have to try again.. Thanks for your help!

First thing I would look at is the seating of the graphics card. Completely remove the card and then reseat firmly. Ensure the top screw is in. Also reseat all the ram, this can cause a problem if they are not, again, firmly seated.

This was Your Original Builder Topic Thread.

Please post the [ Final As-Built Components ] of the system.

Think you have PCie 2.0 O/Ced Video Card on the PCIe 3.0 Bus.
Remember I caught that in your original Topic Thread above.

Silly question, but is your PSU up to the task? Does the GTX560 require a single 4 pin or double?
