Hi Guys

I enabled Hyper V but cannot create a Virtual Machine...

the Hyper V managment console does not have a create new machine instead it has connect. When I try to connect to local it says (Virtual Machine Management service) not started on Local" I checked Services.msc.. there is no service by this name.. please help/....

I wanted to use this Virtual Machine to install Windows 7..

Can I use Vmware in Windows 8 to get a Virtual Machine ??

Maybe a bit more info on your system might be helpful. Total physical memory? Does your CPU support SLAT? How to Check if Your CPU Supports Second Level Address Translation (SLAT)

In the Manager, select your local machine, then on the menu bar ACTION, NEW and VIRTUAL MACHINE and it will then start the process of creating one with the W7 DVD.

my hyper V console doesn't have that option.. There is no server also

Under the HYPER V MANAGER on the left, what do you have? Mine is my LOCAL MACHINE name. Select that, whatever your machine name is and you'll see the same display.

If that IS not the case, please post a picture of what you see?
