hp pavilion dv6000 (solved)

i have been looking every where but i can't seem to find any video drivers for my hp pavilion dv6000 i need the drivers to support ubuntu linux which is part of my problem any help would be greatfull

There are (48) different skews of the HP Pavilion dv6000.

What you have given us is the model series.

What is your EXACT Model Number or Configuration Skew ??

Look at the info on the back of the case for clues.

ok never mind i figured it out. and the model i have is HP Pavilion dv6915nr
how to do this:

goto system/admin/software sources then put a tick on all of the things listed in ubuntu software exept for the one on the way bottom about the cd. and i think that the only one that you really need ticked is the restricted one.

after that hit revert then close out of it.

then goto system/admin/hardware drivers and select the restricted driver. it will then install and you will have to restart for the effects to work. then you are done.
