HP LE1901w monitor is locked

One of the users stated that their HP LE1901w monitor is "locked" and she cannot manually turn off her monitor, anyone had this experience before, and if so what was the resolution, thx

Unlocking the OSD menu
1. Turn the monitor off.
2. Press and hold the Menu button.
3. Press and release the Power button.
4. Release the Menu button.
The OSD is now unlocked.
