Hp laptop reset

How do I reset my hp pavilion entertainment pc back to factory mode? It has so many viruses and runs so slow I can't take it and it just shuts off when it wants and It was just given to me by a friend who had it only for 3 months pleaseee help!!!!

But F11 has always worked for me on my HPs - unless you messed up the recovery partition.
