I have this howtogeek account (and I love it) but for some reason, every once and a while, the login screen will not let me in. (even with the correct ID and Password) I have had to recover my password way too many times, just today in fact between my last post and this one. I don't know why.

Also I can't seem to convince the user profile information page that my email address has changed for long, it keeps reverting back to my old one.

Please help, and thank you in advance!

For anyone wondering, the following describes the system I posted this with (unless the post concerns a different machine). This may or may not be a system I own or even that I plan to use again.
Though this one in particular is one I assembled for my Grandma:
Dell Optiplex GX280
Intel Pentium 4HT 2.8GHz
1GB RAM
Nvidia Geforce 7600 GS 256mb
HID Compliant Devices (mouse and keyboard)

Hey, don't I know you from somewhere?...

Yeah, I had thought of that, but the thing is, I don't. It sort of half-logs-me-off by itself sometimes.
The privileges of a logged-in user are gone... but the "My Profile" and "Logout" links are still there. It's the only problem I have ever seen like this.

Sound advice.
Would the cache interfere in the midst of my browsing the HTG site?
I was posting the sub-woofer thread, and then encountered the problem described above. Then I recovered my password with the "forgot my password" bit, and posted this thread. Throughout, I was at the computer and did not close the browser, nor did I leave the HTG page.
Any ideas?

Ok the problem just occured twice in a row.

Right now, I'm using Chromium on Ubuntu 10.10... But I have encountered this problem on other systems. (though I can't remember if it has been on other browsers)
