How to:get rid of a virus

Just found out that my whole adress book recieved email that contained a link to "nowhere". Have I been infeted and how do I get rid f it? Also..did those emails sustain the virus? HELP!!!

You probably do not have a virus, but immediately change your email password. If you have run your virus scan and a program such as Malwarebytes-Antimalware and are clean there is nothing further for you to worry about.

...and if you are in the habit of sending/forwarding emails to long lists your friends emails in them, and do not remove other address lists when forwarding, and do not use BCC (Blind Carbon Copy) when doing it, please stop it.

One of the best ways of not getting a virus is to have one of the leading antivirus, internet security software ( Norton, Kaspersky, etc.). Always warns me which emails or websites I should not open.

I bet the OP is on a Mac, and in that case, a Mac antivirus is required...
