Hi
I'd like to keep all my bookmarks at one place and use them from all the browsers I use (Google Chrome, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and Opera). I like the approach used by Internet Explorer, to keep each of the URL's as separate shortcut files which we can manipulate in any way we like even without having to open IE. So the problem comes down to using those shortcuts from the remaining three browsers.
I've found the solution for FF; an add-on Plain Old Favorites does exactly that. The problem thus comes down to using those shortcuts with Chrome and Opera. Is there any way I can do that?
Thanks for any response...
PS: Please see to it that I don't want to IMPORT the bookmarks. That way, when I add/delete/update a bookmark in any browser, the changes do not reflect in the others unless I delete all the bookmarks from them and import them from the browser with the updated bookmarks again. It's a great hassle. If you use FF and IE, and would like to have a more solid grasp of what I mean, try installing and using the add-on Plain Old Favorites in FF. It allows you to perform any operations on the IE favorites directly, so when you open IE, the bookmarks are already updated. Similarly the changes made to the bookmarks within IE reflect immediately in FF. This is because, from any browser, we're actually working with the very same shortcut files, and not with their copies in each browser. Hope you got the point.
