I want to uninstall firefox browser 3.0. But I don't find firefox in the add/remove program list nor can I do it from the start menu (the start menu shows firefox but there is no uninstall option).

Any tips ?

Firefox should be in Add/Remove Programs in XP. If not, it may not have installed properly or the install may be corrupted. Follow the instructions in this KB article from Mozillazine to manually delete it.

Another method you could try is to do a full install, so that it does show up in Add/Remove Programs, and then uninstall it.

Thank you scott. Can I install firefox's latest browser (3.50, I think) without uninstalling the old one ?

Hi amkeew, I´m not exactly sure in XP as I have Vista but you should be able to install the 3.5 ontop of the old FF. In FF just press Help-> Check for Updates then you should be asked if you want to update to 3.5. Matt

You should really uninstall the old version before you install the new. But do as ScottW says. Install 3.5. Then uninstall it, and re-install again.

Solved. Downloaded FF 3.50 and installed it. The old version is gone. Now I see FF 3.5 in add/remove programs list.

Thank ye all.
