2. How to Install Audio/Video Codecs ?

Did you try the Kubuntu support page first? http://www.kubuntu.org/support

FYI, if you want KDE in a Linux distro you are probably far better off with OpenSUSE. It was designed for KDE: http://www.opensuse.org
