hi. i saved some important pics and vid clips in one dvd recordable a few weeks ago. it was perfectly fine then and i can open all my files using vista. some days ago, i tried it in ubuntu and i think i clicked on unfamiliar commands. when i inserted it in my vista agian, it says the dvd is empty but the free space is down to 1G only. i tried downloading free versions of cdroller and it was able to identify my files and its readable.but i cant save it unless i purchase the software. is there a free software that i can use to save/retieve all that 3G files? I badly need HELP!! thanks so much.

hi scottw. i just used the burn options in vista to write the files. i did not use nero. when i open it with ubuntu, files are also not read. i badly need help.
