So does anyone have an ideo how to remove this thing.Even if it cant be moved...atleast to clean it up?
I never use it and it just sits there consuming valuable space that could be better used viewing more files is list or details view.
A picture often says more than thousand words so this is what i mean:

Im sorry if this has been discussed already but there is a lot of stuff and i skimmed trugh about 200 results but didnt find anything useful about the topic.Mostly people want to disable address bar or breadcrumbs but those dont annoy me.This toolbar however does.

Thanks for any help

I've always seen it referred to as the "folder band".(in case you do more searching)
These are what I've found just now, though it's going to require editing system files:

Thanks.The first link worked.
If anyone else wants to try on Win7 RTM x86 then you can get the modified shellstyle.dll here:

You're welcome. I spent a lot of time looking into different ways to customize the interface in Vista.
Luckily I remembered what that toolbar was called, and a quick search turned up results from two people I already knew of.

I'm glad this worked for both of you, I hadn't realized this post was about Win7 until now.

LOL - I did notice, but it works for Vista too (I don't have 7 yet).

I haven't done anything with 7 yet either. I have the ISOs for beta and rc, but got enough linux distros in VirtualBox, and haven't wanted to setup something thats going to expire on me.

Plus I probably won't be buying 7 right when it comes out, I've had Vista since RTM and no problems I couldn't solve.

I love my Vista, but I experiment quite a lot with my machine, so I want to get me a second PC. I'm eagerly waiting for 7 to come out, so I have a new machine to experiment with and keep this one safe for work only ;)
