How to play mov movie at windows 8?

I make out a movie for my sister's wedding at holiday on a macbook(my sister's). Now i would like to edit it in my Lenove E530 which embeded with windows 8 and then share in my YouTube. However, it seems the mov files can be only edit in mac software. Any alternatives to imovie, or free/low-price movie editor for windows 8. I can only offer less $50. Thanks a lot

I would use VLC - Quicktime can be a pain. http://filehippo.com/download_vlc_32/
