I'm using win8 now, and I want to experience linux mint, I know nearly nothing about linux, please help me .
How can I install mint won't cover win8, and both can select to use. I dowload a help pdf file at mint, It just say when install mint there will be 3 options, and select it(I forget it's name).
How can I install mint? do I need to create several partition? I don't about the linux partition way, like swap... can someone give me some tip, or document, or video, anything...

But you don't need Mint especially, see http://www.ubuntu.com/download.....-installer
As you are running windows 8 probably as a preview I would go for Wubi option for now
