Hi all,
I have a laptop called Acer Aspire 5538g
My hd crashed
I want to order a new HD as soon as possible
But how can i know for sure that it will fit in my laptop
Is there a universal type of HD for laptops ?
I don t care for speed
I just want it to fit in my laptop

As for physical size, it's 2.5".

On this google page there is a PDF service manual for your 5538. Page 48 describes how to replace the disk drive.

You can replace the drive with a 160/250/320/500 GB or larger hard disk drive according to Acer Aspire 5538 Notebook Series Specifications.

Best would be to replace it with a SSD. It's more reliable and a LOT faster.
