Hi there boys and girls. Can anyone tell me if there is a way to let Firefox start by showing the new tab page??
I have tried everything in the options menu and oddly enough it does not seem to be possible there!

No i mean the new tab page, like in Chrome, where it opens in the pinned tabs :-)

I've not tried the beta 17.0 version but if you go to Options and select the General tab you can change the Home page to about:blank, or open up a new tab then go to Options --- General tab and select Use Current.

Edit : Forget that, just read your last post.

Can you post a pic as I've never used Chrome so am unsure to what you're referring.

It works when i only have the "new tab page" open, and then choose "use current" in the options menu.
It just didnt occur to me that it would work since there is no url in the address field when you are on the "new tab" page.
