I am trying to put an old program Create a card Ver. 3 and/or 4 on my computer but I guess it is not compatible with Windows XP. Is there a way to still put these older programs on my computer? Thank you for any help. Patty

Nanaof5,
Welcome to The HTG Forums.

Are you talking about the old, old MS Cardfile.exe program ??

It works OK in XP.

If not, who made the program or send me a link.

I'll try it on this machine.

Kindest Regards,
Rick P. ♥ :)

@raphoenix: I think the original poster is talking about the program Creatacard. From what I can find online, it was made by American Greetings and isn't sold or supported anymore.

@all:
According to an older topic on this forum someone had used Creatacard 3 on Windows XP.
What problems are you having? Is there an error message when you try to install it?

@jd2066,

Appreciate it. I kinda figured it was something a bit off. Just took a guess as sometimes folks have a hard time explaining what they are attempting.

Yes it is the old Creatacard program from American Greetings. I know that others are running it on windows XP but I can't get it to install on my computer. It starts to try to install and then it gets to where it will install the fonts and then it gets to 1 percent done and just stops there and won't go any further. I have tried to do a full install and a custom install (so that I would have to put the cd in for the graphics and I thouhgt the fonts.) but it makes no difference at all, it just stops in the same place. Then someone told me I might be having the compatability problem. Don't really know why I can't install it. I just got a copy of Creatacard 8 on dvd that was made for Windows Xp and it won't install either. Same problem with it. Any ideas on what to do next?
Thanks so much to everyone who is replying to this!
